Practice Activity for 3 rd Graders  Give class topic….. Winter  Class will work together and use the graphic organizer to fill in thoughts  Share examples for the students  Ensure the examples are read to the class in order to understand the sound of the syllables  Use elbow partner for any assistance

Practice activity Students will read their drafts aloud to partner The partner will listen for compliments and give suggestions on how to change their drafts to make them better

Assessment Activity Students will use a red pen to make corrections. After making corrections the student will then hand it to their partner who will then revise in a different color pen.
