ⓒ 2013 Zalman Tech Co., Ltd. CNPS2X Tiny 120W class cooler applied the DTH, S bending technology and the optimal heat dissipation design. Emit the air straight from the fan to the mother board through down blowing design, it cools down not only the CPU but also the components around it. 120W powerful cooling FHS(Flower Heat Sink) type heatsink transfers heat efficiently. Regular heatsink heat transfer Heat source (A) Heat source (B)

ⓒ 2013 Zalman Tech Co., Ltd. CNPS2X Direct Touch Heatpipe (DTH) Base technology transfers the CPU’s heat directly to heatpipes, thereby minimizing heat resistance and maximizing cooling performance. DTH technology applied Heatpipe Heat Base

ⓒ 2013 Zalman Tech Co., Ltd. CNPS2X What CPUs are Supported? All single, dual and quad core CPUs based on Intel socket LGA LGA1155/1156/775 are supported. All single, dual and quad core CPUs based on AMD socket FM2/FM1/AM3/AM2+/AM2 are supported. Please address cautionary notices regarding CNPS2X installation. If an air guide is attached to the case, make sure it does not interfere with the installion of CNPS2X. To prevent possible minor injuries during installation, please wear gloves if possible while handling the heatsink. Do not ingest the thermal grease. If there is any problem with the product, please notify the retailer. What size cases can be used? It can be installed in Mini ITX type case. ※ Dimension: 84(L) x 84(W) x 27(H)mm ※ Make sure air guide does not interfere with the installation of CNPS 2X. Q&A If the cooler is to be reinstalled, should I remove the old thermal compound and apply fresh thermal compound? The heat transfer performance of thermal compounds may degrade over time. Please wipe off the previously used thermal compound and apply a fresh layer.

ⓒ 2013 Zalman Tech Co., Ltd. CNPS2X What is the max Wattage it supports? It supports up to 120watts. The CPU cooler’s base is smaller than the CPU. Will this affect the performance? The metal cover you see outside is actually a heat spreader, and CPU core itself is located under the heat spreader and it is much smaller in size. So, as long as the cooler is mostly in contact with the heat spreader, there is no negative effect on the cooling performance. * IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader) The metal cover on top of the CPU, which is made of copper with nickel plating protects the core physically, spreads/dissipates heat and blocks electromagnetic waves. Q&A How much thermal grease do I need to apply? It depends on the evenness of the CPU surface. CPUs with uneven surface will require more thermal grease to fill the air pockets created between the CPU and the cooler base. CPUs with even surface will require minimal amount. Generally, it is recommended to apply pea sized amount at the center of the CPU. Mounting the cooler on top of the CPU will evenly distribute the thermal grease.

ⓒ 2013 Zalman Tech Co., Ltd. CNPS2X What is an effective method for wiping off thermal compound from the top(IHS) of the CPU? A dry cloth with a bit of alcohol or acetone is effective. Avoid exposing these chemicals to motherboard and system components. Wouldn’t the motherboard warp due to the weight of the cooler? If the motherboard warps, would that cause any problems? If the cooler is properly installed as indicated in the User’s Manual, any warping of the motherboard caused by the tension of the cooler’s clip will be within a safe range for stable operation. Where can I find motherboard compatibility information? Please visit Zalman website or contact the appropriate customer representative. Q&A
