State Agency Updates Federal threshold for audits is changing $500,000 $750,000 (beginning October 1, 2015 – September 30, 2016)

Renewal Process for Independent Centers

Renewal Process Due by Friday, August 28: – Annual Information Certification – Spreadsheet of file information and annual budget – Current CDC license / alternate approval documents – Current DC Dept. of Health Food Safety Manager certificates – A-133 Audit Report (if applicable) – Food service management company procurement or contract renewal documents, business license, and health inspection report

Renewal Process: Annual Budget Estimate reimbursements Estimate costs Identify how CACFP reimbursements will be used Complete all three tabs in the budget Excel file

Renewal Process: Reminders Check off all applicable documents on the Renewal Information Checklist and submit the whole thing! Complete all renewal documents and submit no later than 5:00pm on Friday, August 28 Your first submission won’t necessarily be your final one… timely subsequent submissions are important! you will receive renewal letter at the end!

Ongoing Submissions Remember! Completing an annual submission doesn’t mean your Program operations stay the same! Any time there is staff turnover or Program changes to your organization… Contact your Specialist prior to changes! Examples: Going to start enrolling infants? - Get trained so you can properly feed them and claim their meals! Change in tax status of your organization? - Let us know immediately! (This may change the way you claim) Staff turnover? - Update your Specialist and train them on Civil Rights AND their CACFP duties!
