Invention Convention 2014

5th Grader Only Invention Convention Design and build an original invention Create a backboard to display your invention at the Invention Convention Bring your invention to school on Feb. 14 Display your invention during Winterfest on Feb. 15

The Competition Winners will be announced on Feb. 24 Prizes will be awarded: 1st place - $50 Gift Card Kid’s Choice - $50 Gift Card 2nd place – $20 Barnes and Noble GC 3rd place - $10 Barnes and Noble GC Category Winners - $5 Barnes and Noble

Judging will be based on: Creativity: Is it unique and original? Science and Technology: Does it show scientific thought? Does it use technology? Visual: Is the project neat and appealing to the eye? Profitability: Would the inventor be able to make a profit worth the effort? Marketability: Would a lot of people buy it?

Important Dates to Remember Please note: Dates have changed since original presentation and paperwork went home with students because of the change in Winterfest. Here are the new dates: Inventions due: Feb. 14 by 9:00 Inventions will be judged on Feb. 14 Inventions on display at Winterfest – Feb. 15 Inventors luncheon will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
