 2 turntables + records  Midi DJ controller + laptop  Microphones  Headphones  Amplifier  Speakers  Cords and cables

 Advantages  Turntables have basic functions for playing and mixing music.  Turntables are the perfect tools for practicing turntablism.  If you use real vinyl records you can “skip”  Disadvantages  It is very hard to find new music on vinyl

Numark Mixdeck QuadGemini CDMP 7000  Advantages :4 Channel can plug TTs in, Stand alone mixer and CD players, Uses Serato (without having to buy hardware separately.  Disadvantages: Mixdeck uses Intro. Intro is not a long term solution.  Advantages: Pioneer CDJ feel, same overall features as Mixdeck.  Disadvantages: 3 Channel Mixer, Bundled with Virtual DJ so you also have to buy a Rane box.

 Advantages  A complete DJ set in a single unit  Controls your software so you don’t even have to touch your laptop.  Disadvantages  Platters can be used for scratching but on some controllers it doesn’t work that well

Allen and Heath Xone DXStanton SC System 3  More buttons  More faders  Has Serato DJ software  More encoders  More knobs  Has midi input/output port  More microphone input ports  More outputs  More RCA connector output ports  Has a connector for a 63.5mm audio jack  Has LED sound level indicators  More mixer channels  Has a music folder navigation control  Higher total number of headphone ports  More inputs  More XLR connector output ports  Has 3 band equalizer  Has a booth output  Has a built in audio interface  Has cue button  Has an effects section  Has headphone cueing feature  Has a socket for a 3.5mm audio jack  Has loop button/function  More pads  Has touch sensor jog wheels  Has virtual DJ software  Shorter  The device is mappable  Has plug and play feature  Thinner  Narrower

 Used to add your voice while working with virtual DJ.  You can use a mic to add character, flavor, and even an extra layer of musicality to your set.  Will help you improve your voice technique and it needs to be through your system (as they are not all created equal!) so that you become used to hearing your own voice and aren’t frightened by it.

 Why do DJs wear headphones while they are DJing?  They need to be able to hear the next song before playing it.

 Why Does A DJ Use An Amplifier?  You need an amplifier to amplify the signal coming from your mixer then send it to your speakers. You can't run passive speakers without an amplifier

 Why Does a DJ need Speakers?  Now you just need a set of speakers so everyone can hear what you're playing

 Why Do DJ’S Need Cords And Cables?  To connect all of the dj equipment
