Newton proved it was the force of gravity that caused the apple to fall And it was the same force that kept the planets in orbit

What is force? Force is a push or a pull

A force gives energy to an object Causing that object to: Start moving Stop moving Or change direction

Combining Forces Forces are Vectors. What does that mean? When forces act in the same direction they add together

Forces in the opposite direction combine by subtraction What if you had two forces of the same size in opposite directions? Balanced forces cause No Motion!!!
