Ku Klux Klan Racist group with only white people Terrorized blacks Use to beat and murder them put burning crosses in from of homes with black families Also did this to Roman Catholics, Jews, and foreigners Targeted blacks mostly Nicknamed “the Klan” Wore white clothes and white masks to show their love for Christ Also wore flowing sheets/white costumes Tried to scare newly freed slaves The KKK started in 1965 Still continues today KKK groups are in 27/50 states Headquarters are in Harrison, Arkansas Group of men and women There are 6,000 people left that are in these groups They hate Barack Obama They use to bomb churches
