Chapter 1 Methods of Social Studies Vocabulary Words

1) Geography- Study of people, their environments and their resources environments and their resources 2) Latitude Lines – Measure distance North or South of the Equator or South of the Equator 3) Equator- Imaginary line drawn around the earth, dividing the earth into northern and southern hemispheres 4) Longitude Lines- Distance east or west of the Prime Meridian
