A Game Idea by Sheldon Maloney and Ubaid Khan

 My game idea is going the be called apocalypse racer which is a racing and zombie game

Apocalypse Racer is a unique game which combines the two popular genres which are racing and zombie survival games. Within the game you can get power ups that help you slow down people that you are racing against and helps you to not get destroyed by the massive amounts of zombie’s that await on the track. In Apocalypse Racer once you win you get money which you can then use to buy new cars or if you like the ride that you already have then you can use the money to upgrade your existing car but every car has its limits so starting off with beginning can only be upgraded so much so eventually you will have to buy a new car in order to win more races

 What we did to for secondary is compare and show how our games stand out from the crowd as it will be something brand new.  Our Idea was inspired by Racing games such as Need for speed, Forza and Gran tursimo as the game has that kind of feel  The modes will have survival, Race to the finish and zombie rush  The objective of survival is their will be a waves after waves of zombie doing everything you can to make sure you fail and die. The map of survival will be a bit like a derby arena  Race to the finish is a simple race which you will gain power ups to help you win during the races  Zombie rush is a timed mode which you will have one minute to run over as zombies as possible before the time ends.



 Need for speed most wanted 2005 (video game) is a racing game that was developed by EA it the 9 th game in the series and is considers by many fans the best Need for speed ever as it was the first game to have online as it was a huge impact back in 2005 as not many games had online the open world was nothing we had ever seen in the franchise, you could customise your car, have chases with the police and have a blast with friends.  Blood drive (2010 video game) is a game that was released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 it was developed by Activision it is not well known as it was only available in north USA and Europe the objective is to kill other players while being attacked by zombies.

Price of the game - £20 Why? Because the game has a campaign mod in which the opponents become harder and zombies become more aggressive as you progress through the campaign also there will be many tracks to play with and many different modes

Pros  The game is unique  Has a lot of potential  Can be a really fun game to play with friends split screen and online multiplayer  Racing games and zombie survival games are quite popular therefore combining them together may draw attention to our audience Cons  It contains blood and violence so not really suitable for kids  There are a lot of racing games and zombie survival games out there that are really good and successful  It is risky because sometimes game ideas like this have not been successful in the past

Research shows that most people play on mobile phones but our game will not be successful in that market as most of the games that are successful are strategy games and platformer games that have simple objectives and simple game quality. This informs us that our game should be released on PC, Xbox and, PlayStation as almost all zombie survival and racing games are successful on these platforms Our target Age group are teenagers to adult aged between 15 – 30. Our target gender are male because in general boy are more aggressive than female
