Red Scare in America Intense fear of communists in America US government began a campaign to root out groups seen as “clear and present danger”

Anarchists- oppose all government (many were immigrants) Plot to bomb 36 figures/houses uncovered by police (by suspected radicals) JP Morgan, Rockerfeller, AG Mitchell Palmer Raids (AG Mitchell Palmer)- arrest subversives
