March 2002 Workshop Workshop Objectives The objective of the Verizon Wholesale CLEC Ordering Workshops is to provide useful information that will help increase the order flow through rate and decrease the reject rate of our customers' Loop (UNE), Platform (UNE-P), and Resale requests. Achieving this objective may potentially:  Reduce the time spent by CLEC/Resellers ‘debugging’ requests that were submitted in error  Improve the end-to-end timeframe for requests to be processed Workshop Highlights  Workshops will be held monthly to educate Wholesale customers on:  The types of request errors that are found most frequently  How to avoid submitting requests with these errors  Workshops may use scenarios where workshop participants attempt to find the error in the request that was submitted  Workshops will focus on Local Service Request (LSR) transaction information that is useful to those CLECs and Resellers who are providing local services in the Verizon North and South regions of the former Bell Atlantic territory

March 2002 Workshop Option B Platform - PA only

March 2002 Workshop Purpose: Scenario #1: The purpose of this presentation is to clarify the process used to migrate an account to Platform Service, Option B in Pennsylvania.  Verizon currently has an end user named Angela Justice who lives in Philadelphia, PA.  Ms. Justice has 1 telephone line in her home.  Ms. Justice decides that she wants to switch her telephone service to CLEC XYZ.  CLEC XYZ submits an Option B Platform Migration As Is request, including the Local Service Request (LSR), End User (EU) forms.  CLEC XYZ’s Migration request is illustrated on the following page: Option B Platform (PA only) - Migration As Is

March 2002 Workshop The LSR forms and fields, and corresponding Web GUI transaction below illustrate a migration “as is” to Option B Platform: LSOG 4 Option B Platform (PA only) - Migration As Is

March 2002 Workshop Scenario #2:  CLEC XYZ has a residence end user in Pittsburgh PA, named Tom Jones with Option B Platform service.  Tom Jones would like to add Call Waiting to his service.  CLEC XYZ submits a post-migration change request, including the Local Service Request (LSR), End User (EU), and Port Service (PS) forms.  CLEC XYZ’s change request is illustrated on the following page: Option B Platform (PA only)- Post Migration

March 2002 Workshop LSOG 4 Option B Platform (Pa only) - Post Migration The LSR forms and fields, and corresponding Web GUI transaction below illustrate the Reseller’s request to add Caller ID on an existing Option B Platform end user’s account:

Collocation is not required.  There are 3 possible TOS choice when ordering Option B service: –1---BBus Option B service (B is in the 4th character) –2---BRes Option B service (B is in the 4th character) –1E-BBus Centrex Option B service (B is in the 4th character)  Option B Platform is offered at a lower monthly recurring rate. Option B Platform includes all features at no additional cost except: –Three Way Calling –Custom Ringing –Calling Number Deliver Blocking –Centrex Intercom (Centrex only)  Verizon Order Business Rules Version (LSOG 4), located at  Verizon Ordering Scenarios, located at  Verizon - Quality Baseline Validation Test Decks, located at

March 2002 Workshop Description of the Error: Corrected Request:  USOC ON LSR NOT ON CSR - LSR IN QUERY –The submitted request is rejected because CLEC XYZ populated the PS form “FEATURE ” field with a USOC that is not on the account The USOC NSD does not exist on the customer’s account. The end user CSR indicates that the end user has Caller ID with Name (NNK) not Caller ID (NSD) –The appropriate USOC should be NNK.  CLEC XYZ reviews the CSR and determines that the correct USOC is NNK and submits a corrected LSR  CLEC XYZ’s corrected PS form is illustrated below: Resale / Platform Error Scenario WT02

March 2002 Workshop Key Learning: Cross Reference:  There are several different types of Caller ID services; Type of Caller IDNorthSouth Caller IDNSDNSD Caller ID with NameNNKNDF Caller ID with Call WaitingNWT Caller ID with Name andN7PXANDF Call WaitingNWT /CDIC In addition to the Caller ID USOCS, the USOC AYW (Anonymous Call Rejection) would be included.  The Pre-Order function must be performed to identify which type of Caller ID service is on the end user’s account  Verizon Order Business Rules Version (LSOG 4), located at  Verizon Ordering Scenarios, located at  Verizon - Quality Baseline Validation Test Decks, located at Resale / Platform Error Scenario WT02

Resale/Platform/Loop Error Scenario DD18

March 2002 Workshop LSOG 4 Resale/Platform/Loop Error Scenario DD18
