Goal:  Support our transition to Common Core State Standards for College- Readiness Common Core iPad Rollout 2

 Alliance schools have always been on the cutting edge of instruction and schooling for students in Los Angeles.  Our transition to Common Core State Standards, supported by the implementation of Pearson Common Core content that is loaded on student iPads, will continue to support innovative teaching to prepare our students for college success and beyond. Purpose 3

 Common Core State Standards – A New Foundation for Students (English) Click Here  Common Core State Standards – A New Foundation for Students (Spanish) Click Here What are the Common Core State Standards? 4

 New exams will replace current California Standardized Tests that students take at the end of each school year.  The new exams will assess the student level of understanding in each subject and each grade level with questions that are aligned to the new Common Core State Standards.  IMPORTANT - the adaptive exam will increase in difficulty as students answer more questions correctly. This will provide a more accurate assessment of our student proficiency.  Click on the link below to experience the difference between traditional paper exams and the adaptive assessments. How will your child be tested? 5
