Begins With Marriage  Overlooked in our society Various definitions proposed Woman was both mother and grandmother to twins through in-vitro fertilization No wonder people are confused!

Begins With Marriage  Bible teaching Begins with marriage (Genesis 2:18-24) Children are born or adopted Strong commitment  Price for ignoring God’s will Living together- a sin (1 Corinthians 7:1, 2) Soaring illegitimacy rate How long does it take for man to learn?

Involves Commitment  Commitment to her husband Some want children to be “fulfilled” Do not want the father in the picture Some “marry” women to complete it  Commitment to her children For many career is first One woman said she was a physician first Needed something when children grew up

Involves Commitment  Have drifted away from God’s will Women are love husband and children (Titus 2:4) Older women not teaching this anymore Cannot teach what is not practiced

Has Responsibilities  Desire for the “glory” without demands This desire for “fulfillment” More to being a mom than showing pictures Children are not just something in a résumé

Has Responsibilities  Role determined by God Subject to her husband (Ephesians 5:22- 24; Titus 2:5) Love her children (Titus 2:4) Should not become a mother if you do not want these responsibilities

Has Responsibilities  Guide the household Word (oikodespoteo) involves the “management and direction of household affairs.” (1 Timothy 5:14) Our word “despot” Oversees the daily operation of the household (Titus 2:5) Imitate the “worthy woman.” (Proverbs 31:10-31)
