RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

What is the Purpose of the Respiratory system? The purpose of the respiratory system is to bring oxygen into the blood and to remove waste products (or carbon dioxide) from the blood.

What are the parts of the Respiratory system? The respiratory system is made up of the nose, trachea, larynx, lungs, bronchial tubes and diaphragm. The respiratory system is made up of the nose, trachea, larynx, lungs, bronchial tubes and diaphragm.

How does the Respiratory System Work with other Systems? As you exercise you breath in oxygen which goes through the walls of the lungs into your blood. At the same time, carbon dioxide from your blood moves into your lungs and you breath it out. The oxygen you breath in travels through the circulatory system to all of the cells in your body so your cells can burn food for energy.

Respiratory System Quiz What are the parts of the respiratory system? What is the purpose of the respiratory system? How does the respiratory system work with other systems? What happens if the respiratory system stops working?
