Michael’s mother and father lose their jobs at the brick works. They were going to move house but instead they decide to sell their house and buy a yacht.They and their dog stella artios begin a wonderful adventure Chapter 1

Michael and his family set off on their adventure. His mum becomes the skipper his dad becomes mechanic and Michael is the logger. He logs many interesting things about the journey ahead. CHAPTER 2

Chapter 3 Michael and his family visit many countries such as Spain Africa and Australia. He also writes about all the animals that they see like turtles, dolphins and jelly fish.

Michael fell off the boat.He and stella are washed away from the boat. He had to cling to his football. He swam as far as he could before getting too tired. He eventually falls asleep. He wakes up stranded on an island.

Michael is lighting a fire when he comes across a man who looks like an orangutang.He had copper brown skin and a large knife in his belt. He also had a long wispy white beard. He ran towards him yelling Dameda! Dameda!

Chapter 6 Michael went mad when he saw the ship he jumped up and down, yelled at the top of his voice and waved. When he realised the people on the ship could not hear him he stopped and just watched the ship pass by. Later he found a piece of glass used to light fires.

Chapter 7 Michael gets stung by a jellyfish but Kensuke saves him. He wakes up in a cave with kensuke’s cave. Kensuke doesn’t talk to him. Evevtually they talk.

Chapter 8 Kensuke tells Michael his whole story about how he was a doctor on a Japanese war ship and how he was the only one who survived the bombing of his ship, how he landed on the island and the Americans who bombed his city. He thought his family were dead.

Chapter 9 Kensuke finds out Michael has been sending messages in bottles behind his back. They don’t talk for days until one special night. When Kensuke shows him something amazing the turtles being born. He and Michael help the baby turtles.

Chapter 10 Michael sees a ship on the horizon he races to tell Kensuke. But kensuke doesn’t let him light the Beacon because it’s the evil hunters. They have to save the orangutangs they here gun shots ringing all around them.After the hunting Michael sees another ship this time he lights the fire, the boat is sailing towards him instantly recognises it. It’s the Peggy Sue and his parents are aboard. He says goodbye to Kensuke and takes his football and walks to his parents. They sail off together.
