HART – General Information  HART (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer)  MSA device is a slave in a polled network  HART is a software protocol running over 4-20mA Hardware  Point to point  1200 baud FSK

HART – General Information con’t  HART Communication is a bi-directional industrial field communication protocol used to communicate between intelligent field instruments and host systems.  HART provides two simultaneous communication channels:  4-20mA analog signal  Communicates the measured gas  Fastest and most reliable in industry  Digital signal  Device status, diagnostics, additional measured / calculated values, etc  Together, the two communication channels provide a complete field communication solution that is easy to use and configure, is low-cost and is very robust.
