battLEDship

OVERVIEW Re-creation of the classic board game Battleship Materials: Surface-mounted LEDs Reflective sensors Arduino Mega 2560

ACCOMPLISHMENTS MilestonesCompletion DateCompleted? Final budget; Order all parts 09/25/2013 Yes; Just waiting for LEDs to arrive Basic Program Code10/12/2013No LED/Sensor Connection 10/23/2013 No; LEDs have not arrived Schematic design inputted into PCB creator 10/24/2013Yes

OTHER ACCOMPLISHMENTS Schematic design for PCB Important milestone that was not added Foundation block needed before the group can continue to design and connect parts together This design plays a huge role into how the hardware will be connected

UPCOMING DEADLINES MilestonesCompletion DateOn Track? Program Code Completed 10/31/2013Yes LED/Sensor Base board 10/31/2013 Delayed due to arrival of LEDs LED/Sensor Upper board 11/15/2013Delayed due to LEDs

ISSUES/CONCERNS Due to how long it’s taking for LEDs to arrive: All milestones that deal with the LEDs are delayed Cannot do any testing between the sensors and LEDs Milestone originally created for best case scenario; Everything will need to be adjusted to make up for delay. Hardware implementation: rely heavily on schematic design of PCB

CONCLUSION Due to a minor delay, the team is currently behind schedule on building the project As soon as LEDs arrive, testing and assembling will begin to determine how LEDs and sensors must be connected to achieve our goal for the project.
