SB 30 Kindergarten: age of admission and readiness. An act to amend Sections and of the Education Code, relating to kindergarten Re-referred to Com. on ED Set for hearing May 11.

Update The State Board of Education has asked the Early Learning Advisory Council (ELAC) for instructional program implementation recommendations for transitional kindergarten. ELAC would work with experts to develop content standards that will bridge the Preschool Learning Foundations with the Kindergarten Common Core Standards. ELAC will take action on this request at its next meeting on May 19, 2011.
