Background Orange County implemented economic incentive provisions in 2009 Renewed in 2011, 2012 Extended provisions to March 31, 2013
Background Challenging economic conditions required measures to allow continued development activity and support local businesses Extending development permitting and waiving certain fees was designed to reduce refund requests and spur economic activity and job creation Promoting infill and redevelopment minimizes sprawl and optimizes the use of existing infrastructure

Provisions 1.Extended building permits Six months to one year initial period Permits are automatically extended with a passed inspection Current projects are moving forward
2.Extended concurrency encumbrances and reservations Concurrency encumbrance extended 180 days to 1 year Projects coming in today are ready to go No cost hold on available capacity Some roads are nearing capacity 60 day Extensions are available from the CMO Provisions
