School Home Communication Effectively communicating with families is an essential element to family engagement and is the foundation to building partnerships between school, families and the community. Communication strategies should reflect practices that encourage two-way feedback, use a variety of formats based on demographics, and use family-friendly language. Integrating high tech and low tech strategies can enhance two-way communication with families.
