Tranquil Thoughts

The boy sits quietly on the edge of the pier. He is in deep thought, pondering intensely on an unknown subject. His gaze is set somewhere far beyond view, in the blue-green mountains.

His face is serious, but calm, turned outward across the water. The slow moving water reflects the gorgeous blue sky and adds to the tranquility of the scene.

The brilliant sun illuminates even the faintest details in nature. The deep grains of the aged wood on the pier are clearly visible under the sun’s intense glow.

The small, yet powerful ripples in the sparkling water move by the boy at a turtles’ pace. The majestic blue mountains in the distance contrast the deep green trees that stand tall just across the lake.

Miles away from this peaceful utopia, a busy bridge stretches across the water. This portrays that the boy still has a long way to go in life. The relaxing colors of blue and green melt into the landscape and allow for perfect, uninterrupted meditation.

As the boy’s thoughts reach into oblivion, past the far mountains, every aspect of this natural scene stays just as it is, peaceful, tranquil, and beautiful.

SWEETSWEET ESCAPEESCAPE

My home is a place of peace, love, and joy. The kitchen and living room are two of the most important rooms to me in the entire house. These places are connected to one another and are a big part of my home life.

The kitchen is where my mom effortlessly cooks delicious meals for my entire family. It is always filled with a spectacular aroma. The potent scents of fried chicken, cooked vegetables, and delectable desserts flow throughout the kitchen.

It is decorated with items that read: Live, Love, Laugh. These are very important words to my mom, and over the time that they have been displayed in the kitchen, I have learned to love them also.

The bar, where I eat, separates the kitchen form the living room. The living room is, to say the least, a place of complete relaxation and family time.

Filled with plush furniture and a warm fireplace, this space provides a perfect place for my family to talk and catch up on our days’ events.

This section of my house has many huge windows that allow the sun’s brilliant light to pour in. Along with the unique oak beams that stretch across both rooms, every aspect of my house makes it the perfect sweet escape.

Clay Character

Hello. My name is Clay Potter. I am a… Yes, you guessed it, handcrafted clay pot.

I truly love my life here by the fish pond. Although I occasionally feel a little empty inside, the rushing waterfall behind me keeps my spirits high.

I love all of the greenery around me. The variety of plants makes for the most attractive scene. The palm tree on my right provides greatly needed shade form the blistering sun, which hardens and cracks my surface.

The lush green grass beneath me waves back and forth in the peaceful breeze, as I balance gracefully on the wobbling mountain stones surrounding the pond.

I also love to watch the beautiful goldfish swim by beneath the gently moving water. I realize each day how lucky I am to have such a wonderful place to live, and I have no doubt that I truly am the most unique clay character.
