RESEARCH QUESTION : What makes The Seinfeld Show so attractive to me despite its nothingness ?

How does the Seinfeld show attract so many TV watchers to the screen all over the world? 1. What is so special about the choice of the characters in the Seinfeld Show? characters in the Seinfeld Show? 2. How is the Seinfeld show different from other T.V comedies? other T.V comedies?

Elaine The only female actor, she provides balance and a woman perspective on things. Elaine allows for a sexual dynamic and tension to develop between Jerry and her and in this way she adds interest and anxiety to the show.

Jerry  He is changing : self-controlled easy to get mad Restrained says what he thinks  Jerry is the "glue" that sticks all the characters together

George  The odd man both in his appearance and his behavior  Adds a lot of humor, irony and tragedy to the show  George is Jerry's best friend; they talk together on women, problems and tricks

Kremer  The peculiar character  He depends on Jerry, lives opposite to him, and borrows everything he needs from him  Finds a pal very much dependent like himself- Newman and together they can plan tricks.

What differs Seinfeld from other comedies ? Several different episodes together in a series where all occurs simultaneously by several different characters. Mixture of the past with the present and the connections between them. The turning point with a climax in the endings leaves the viewers with a dilemma and in tension.

Why nothing is interesting ? The show puts them together and makes "something" out of the “nothing”. Nothingness - little things, those that usually draw no attention and have no significance; small talks, Little gossip, forgotten thoughts, trifles. small talks, Little gossip, forgotten thoughts, trifles. The series creates some kind of identity between the T.V viewers at home, and the characters on the show.
