Thursday, January 28, 2007 A. Champion Effective Approaches to Strengthening LHD Performance Data from the Profile studies have been provided to thirty-one (31) external researchers during the last twelve (12) months Approximately twenty-five (25) research studies have been conducted at NACCHO during last twelve (12) months One new MOU has been established in 2009 with the Kansas Association of Local Health Departments MOUs and information relationships maintained with all other existing SACCHOs Executive Director has attended and in many cases presented at eight (8) SACCHO meetings. Plans are in place for him to attend additional meetings before the close of the project year.

Thursday, January 28, 2007 C. Deepen Member Engagement and Expand Membership Completed a targeted membership campaign in Jan 2010 that resulted in a 15% positive response rate with the addition of 9 new LHD members. Raised awareness of NACCHO at the PHP Summit by distributing information and visiting with prospects and members at a booth in the exhibit hall as well as sending membership materials to the National Health Information Exchange Summit and Health IT Summit for Government Leaders. NACCHO achieved an active membership of 1,255 – an increase of 13 LHDs over the November 2009 figures.

Thursday, January 28, 2007 C. Deepen Member Engagement and Expand Membership NACCHO added one new SACCHO and now has 29 SACCHO-NACCHO agreements in 27 states. Outreach efforts will begin in the Spring to engage additional 1-2 new states in MOUs. In areas of member engagement: 73 new members were added to workgroups 825 members participated in the annual meeting 378 participants are now serving in 455 positions on NACCHO’s 42 advisory groups 162 members have or will continue to serve as representatives to a total of 94 outside groups, taskforces or organizations Efforts continue to establish baseline data on existing member engagement and completion of the initial report will be available soon. Baseline member engagement will identify key patterns and provide other data analysis around levels of LHD involvement in NACCHO activities. The importance of this initiative is based on the premise that NACCHO could organize and leverage its growing data to become more informed, responsive, and strategic about the engagement of LHDs.
