INSPECTOR TRAINING ENTRY LEVEL Entry level inspectors are required to complete 23 weeks of training at the Mine Health and Safety Academy The training is divided into six modules with “on the job” field training incorporated between the Academy modules Modules consist of training in the following areas:

INSPECTOR TRAINING SPECIALISTS In addition to the required journeyman training specialists receive additional annual training in their area of expertise Electrical specialists attend annual training to maintain their electrical certification Ventilation, Roof Control, Impoundment, Accident Investigation and Special Investigators receive one to two weeks additional training annually
