REPRODUCTION Up to 2 years long ASEXUAL-rare but it helps defend against other species VIVIPARITY-Eggs hatch inside the female body (live birth) 2-20 offspring born OVIPARITY-Unguarded eggs get deposited into the ocean and will eventually hatch if not eaten APLACENTAL VIVIPARITY-Eggs inside the female body. The babies eat each other because of the absence of a placenta causing few to survive
