Dolphins By Brooke

DESCRIPTION Dolphins are whales. Dolphins are toothed. They are mammals. Scientists can tell the age by counting the rings on the inner part of its teeth. They can sleep under water and not die because of their bone and body structure.

Habitat Dolphins live in the water with other sea animals. Most species live in the shallow areas of tropical and temperate oceans. They live in the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans.

Diet/Predators Dolphins eat fish, squid and crustaceans. Killer wales and SHARKS are their predators.

Special Skills Dolphins can make up their own games and teach them to people. Dolphins will push people to shore if they can not.

Fun Facts Their lively leaps make them easy to love. They will play with anything. Every Dolphin has its own distant whistle to communicate with others in its pod.
