Home and Workplace Safety

4. What is the government agency that was created to prevent work-related injuries, illness and death? Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA)

5. Mishaps with guns can be avoided by following some basic safety rules. List at least 4 of these rules: ~ Always assume the gun is loaded ~ Never point a loaded or unloaded gun at anything you don’t want to shoot. ~ Always point the barrel in a safe direction.

~ Keep the safety on until you are ready to shoot. ~ Keep firearms and ammunition stored separately under lock and key. ~ Know how to use a firearm safely. ~ Keep record of firearm serial and model numbers. ~ Make sure you are aware of what lies in front of and beyond your target ~ Never use alcohol or other drugs when shooting.
