1 Interview Presentations Fellows will be selected at random to present their student interviews. Before the first interview is played, each presenter will review the concept covered, the questions asked to probe student understanding, and tell the class what the correct answer is supposed to be.

2 Interview Presentations Fellows will be selected at random to present their interviews After each pair of presentations the audience will vote on which student seems to have a better understanding of the concept. The teacher will then reveal the grade earned by each student. Votes and grades will be recorded on a master chart for later analysis.

3 Interview Presentations CriteriaSpecificsWeightPoints A previously-covered topic will be selected for analysis of student understanding. Topics selected must have been covered and assessed at least one month prior to the interview. 20% Interview questions will be developed. Questions will use one or more of the Six Facets of Understanding to probe student understanding 10% Two students will be interviewed and recorded on tape. Video or audiotape will be used to record the responses of two randomly selected students. 20% Presentation of Interview  The topic of the interview will be stated.  The questions and their correct responses will be given.  Student interviews will be presented to the class. 50%

5 Interview Analysis Write-up of findings from student interviews (Due Session #6) 10% of Final Grade As each interview pair is presented, fellows will vote on which student demonstrates a better understanding of the concept. Results will be tallied and a 1 – 2 page paper will be written to summarize the findings. APA format rules will be followed. What does it all mean? How do we analyze the results?
