What season does the haiku refer to? Why do you think it is that season? It refers to the winter season. It describes snow covering flowers up. How do you think the poet feels about winter? It makes the poet sad because it says the heart is covered, too.

How to choose a topic: Pick ideas in nature that interest you For haiku poems. For example, seasons, ocean, storms, rain, etc. To write a senryu poem you can choose any topic outside of nature. For example, any sport, school, person, etc.
