Antiproton source startup report Bill Ashmanskas Prevault sump water rerouted to Main Ring OTR installation in AP1. (Another OTR will go into AP2 later) A30 bakeout; reconnect (stacktail tank) D:EKIK pulsing by Tue eve (modules modified; motorized stand) Safety system tests Wed Power supplies on since Wed eve (D:IB Thu day) Mock RR transfers Thu (exercise Linux sequencer) First 8 GeV proton beam Thu (yesterday) eve?? Target vault is ready for 120 GeV beam –Limit to 2.0E12 ppp or less until further notice!! Brief accesses to rings Wed; prevault Thu –DRF1-4 PA tube, D6Q9 amp; OTR & sump follow-up

Priorities Measure stacktail proto #1 –Aim to remove proto #2 next Fri Establish reverse protons all the way to Debuncher –Check efficiencies, orbits, tunes, acceptances Establish stacking beam –At most 2E12 ppp initially! –1-2 shifts tuning at low intensity Check accumulator cooling with antiprotons After proto tanks removed from Debuncher, optimize Debuncher acceptances and tune up stacking Rough plan Fri:Accumulator reverse protons Sat:Protons to Debuncher; work with MI to get beam to target? Sun:Measure ST proto #1 tbd:Accumulator running wave, AP2 trims, beamline BPMs & optics Tue:ST proto tank swap; pump down Wed:Measure proto tank #2 Thu:Try to stack at a few mA/hr Fri:ST proto out of Debuncher; study 120 GeV optics? 3 shifts  2 people initially; may drop owls after first week
