Work Related Behaviors Throughout the Country too many students are just getting by and just getting by won’t cut it when they go on to college, jobs, and the rest of their lives. Not enough students are seeing how developing the skills and attitudes to do well in high school also prepare them to do well after high school.

Work Related Behaviors Five Areas for Evaluation Commitment to Quality Work Habits and Attitudes Communication Interpersonal Effectiveness Attendance and Punctuality

Self Evaluated Work Related Behaviors Grading  You will grade yourself Daily on each of the 10 Areas according to the statements on your green WORK RELATED BEHAVIORS Handout.  The maximum grade for each area is a 2.  This will be 10% of your overall grade for this class.

Four Things I Always Look For When Grading  On Time – Attendance in gradebook  Completed/Turned in Assignment – Gradebook  No bathroom or hall pass – Checkout Sheet  Daily Log/Assignment Sheet – Log and Assignment Sheets (especially entries of items I have told to enter in class, or have put on the whiteboard) Will not allow no entries in Log or Calendar for more than 1 day a week

Other Things I Can Look For When Grading (I have documentation)  Prepared for class – no notebook or class materials  Started working immediately – sitting and talking / no materials open  Followed all directions – needs to be given either verbal or physical jesters to stay on task  Worked entire period – sitting and talking, sleeping, up wandering around
