2 The times they are a’changing:  skill shortages  low unemployment  shifting employment patterns  changing nature of work  ageing Australian workforce  new government imperatives

3 VET workforce:  ageing personnel  high levels of casualisation  intensifying work  career not necessarily for life  changing nature of learning  expectations for broader skills and knowledge
