Bagby, Foglesong General Silicon Meeting Design Goals  The charge- u Provide power to SVX chips, AC, and IB. u Minimize cable plant! u Make the fuse panels more robust!! u Reduce PS replacement time!!! u Get the PSs out of the cathedral!!!!

Bagby, Foglesong General Silicon Meeting Solutions  Provide power to SVX chips, AC, and IB. s Wiener modular supplies fit in one nice box.  Minimize cable plant! s Use 80 conductor cable to get power up to ACs. s Break out blocks used in cathedral.  Make the fuse panels more robust!! s Using ATO blade fuses.  Reduce PS replacement time!!! s Wiener design implements “supply–in-a-drawer” construction. s Entire supply system slides out by simply opening front panel of chassis. NO power cables to disconnect!  Get the PSs out of the cathedral!!!! s Wiener’s are specifically designed to provide power over long distances. s PS chassis will be located in MCH1.
