Who We Are Student-led Organization Campus Life Program Non-profit, Apolitical U of M Chapter founded in January 2005 Continuously Expanding 100 Active Students

Our Mission To collaborate with disadvantaged communities around the world and to improve their quality of life through the implementation of engineered projects that prove environmentally and economically sustainable. We enhance our development work with local events, projects, and meetings designed to keep students from across the University engaged apart from our international projects.

Although our name contains “engineers,” EWB is a humanitarian group with students from ALL majors and backgrounds

The more diverse our members’ backgrounds, the richer our projects become.

The structure of EWB-UMN is such that hands-on, life-changing leadership opportunities are available for ALL interested members.

Finances Overlooked by President and Financial Officer. Records available to any member upon request. Majority of our project money is held in a U of M Foundation account that is professionally overlooked and audited. We maintain a record of all transactions in an EFS account managed by Civil Engineering Department accountants, audited by U of M accounting services.

Fundraising Private Companies & Corporations Private Donors University of Minnesota We receive donations from local companies in the form of money, technology, and logistics. We receive contributions from private donors interested in supporting our humanitarian work and our students’ education. University of Minnesota funding has helped support our on campus events and conference attendance.
