Wednesday 22 nd April 2015 LO: Product analysis of existing jewellery boxes Jewellery Box Analysis Aesthetics: This jewellery box has a plain colour to it and a lot of space to put jewellery in. It has a square shape and it is very modern. Cost: This jewellery box has an affordable price of £ Customer: The jewellery box is targeted at middle-aged women. Environment: This box hasn’t been made from recycled materials but the materials that have been used can be recycled, this is good for the environment. Safety: This box has sharp edges which could be dangerous when near children. Size: The inside of the box has plenty of space to fit different types of jewellery in however the box itself has a classic size which means it doesn’t take up too much space. Function: This box has been made to hold jewellery safely. Manufacture: This box is a unique one off style. Aesthetics: This jewellery box is made out of wood and it has a unique shape. Cost: This jewellery box is £150. It’s very expensive due to the wood that has been used to make it. Customer: This jewellery box is targeted to elderly women. Environment: This box is made out of very expensive wood, it can be recycled. Safety: This box has round edges which is less dangerous than a jewellery box with sharp corners. Size: This jewellery box is 32 cm which is an appropriate size for a jewellery box. Function: This jewellery box is made to look nice when put in a room and hold jewellery safely without the treasures being prone to falling out.
