My observation of the Family Tuesday Nights at the Jonesboro Public Library is in coordination with the Summer Concert Series on the lawn of the library which begins at 6:30 P.M. for families.

Families get to the library early with their lawn chairs and ground coverings to get a good spot to sit and listen to the music and enjoy each other’s company. They are free to move about, as well as take the children inside to enjoy the Tuesday Family Night activities.

Barely visible above the crowd’s heads is the band Starroy in the picture on the left. The picture on the right shows the sponsor Andy’s Frozen Custard serving treats to the crowd.

This display is set up to guide families with information about tonight’s activity, the time frame, where to go, and other activities being held this summer at the library.

This young lady works across from Ms. Karen to cut out her thaumatrope diagram. She will color and assemble it in the next steps.

My model demonstrates how the traumatrope works by spinning it in her hands to create the animated design.
