To provide resources and supports for freshmen transitioning to Jones; to enhance freshmen students’ self-advocacy, community engagement, problem-solving and academic help- seeking skills; and to ensure a fulfilling, engaging and challenging mentorship experience for JCP mentors that will enhance their leadership and relationship-building skills. The Program Eagle Leaders In Training [e] is a comprehensive freshman mentorship program supported by an academic class for the junior/senior mentors. 1-on-1 and small group mentorship for freshmen throughout their 1 st year at JCP Leadership theory and community advocacy education for mentors (via the classroom curriculum) Conflict resolution, communication strategy and case management support (via the freshman/sophomore counseling team lessons and check-ins)
