Macnedstudents We (Shirley Drost & Jesmine Latrach)worked togehter with Dobrila Dejanoska en Vladimir Grujeski. Each of uss made five questions and we all answerd them. we also made questions for the older generation and each off uss asks those questions to one off there perants. we put all of the information in a artical.

Team 5 We asked our team in macedonia to answer our questions. A lot of our questions aren’t answerd, by both of them. We took intitief for evrything, theren’t any ideas or plans of there side. That was dissapointing. So we couldn’t compare evrything with each other. They made a powerpoint off our conclusion, but it wasn’t finished. They asked if we could add something to their powerpoint. So we made a this powerpoint.

Media The media is every where, and a lot of people use the media every day. The media keeps us updated about what is happening in the world. The media had developed a lot an it is still developing. The media is very important for us. There are different kinds of media tools.

Books Older Generation The Netherlands The older generation read a lot of books in their spare time and for school. Now they read books in their sparetime and not as much as they used to. New Generation The Netherlands The new generation don’t read a lot of books. A lot of teenagers don’t read books in their spare time, they only read it for school.

Radio Older Generation The Netherlands In their youth they listened a lot to the radio. They listened music and the news. Now they listen to the radio in the car and sometimes when they’re home. Macedonia In their youth they listened a lot to the radio for music and for the news. They still listen to the radio, but not as much as they used to. New generation The Netherlands The new generation only listens to the radio in the car. We listen to Q-Music, SkyRadio and Radio 538. When we’re home, we don’t listen to the radio. Macedonia In Macedonia they listen to the radio in the car and when they’re home. They listen to ANTENNA 5.

Newspaper Older Generation The Netherlands In their youth they read newspapers. The newspaper is still being read, but the older generation thinks that the newspaper is getting shallow, because there is to much commercials. Macedonia In their youth they read newspapers. The newspaper has changed a lot in Macedonia, like the language that they use. in the 70' the newspaper was in Slovenian and nowadays is the newspaper in Macedonian. New Generation The Netherlands We read the newspaper. Especially the sport page. Popular newspapers are: De Telegraaf, Almere deze week, Metro en Spits.

Magazines Older Generation The Netherlands When they were young, they didn’t read magazines. Now women they read magazines about fashion and celebrities like Cosmogirl. Men read less magazines, but read magazines about technology. Macedonia They rearly read magazines. When they were young, they read magazines. New Generation The Netherlands The new generation read magazines like Cosmogirl, Cosmopolitan, Hitkrant, Break Out. Macedonia They don’t read a lot of magazines, but the girls read magazines about fashion. The boys read magazines about cars.

(Mobile) Phone Older Generation The Netherlands In their youth they hadn’t a phone. Now they have a phone at home and they have a mobile phone as well. They use it mostly for their work. Macedonia In their youth they hadn’t a phone. Now they have a mobile phone and use it often. New Generation The Netherlands Every teenager has a mobile phone and a phone at home. Some have a phone with prepaid and others with a subscription. Macedonia Almost every teenager has a mobile phone. At home they have a phone.

Television Older Generation The Netherlands In their youth, they didn’t had a television. They went once a week to the cinema. Now they watch TV about 13 hours a week. Macedonia In their youth they didn’t had a television. They could go twice a week to the cinema. Now they watch a lot of TV, even more than their children do, about 12 hours a week. New Generation The Netherlands The new generation watch TV about 2½ hours a day. Cable television is being seen by foreigners. Macedonia The new generation watch TV about 2 hours a day. The popular channels are A1 and Sitel. They watch cable television as well.

Computer Older Generation The Netherlands The older generation didn’t had a computer when they were young. Now they use the computer mostly for their work and to read/send s. Macedonia They use the computer for work and to read books. When they were young, they didn’t had a computer. Now more people are buying a computer, because now it’s cheaper. New Generation The Netherlands Teenagers use the computer for homework. For this, we use the program Microsoft Office. We use the computer to listen music as well. The computer is being used for 1½ hours a day. Macedonia They use the computer everyday and for everything. They download and work in Microsoft office. Also they use MSN to communicate with their friends.

Conclusion The media is all over the world and is very important for the people. The media have an influence on the people and if some one wants to influence people around the world, they can use the media. The computer is the most popular media tool and a lot of people in the world have a computer at home. The older generation read books and the new generation don't like to read books. For this they use the internet. Radio is mostly being listened to in the car. Television is important. We like to watch news, documentairies and soaps. The new generation also like to watch cartoons. The older and the new generation have a mobile phone. Some of them have prepaid and others a subscription. All put together: We love the media and the media love us
