How did Settlers and Native Americans view land? SettlersNative Americans

A Treaty is a formal agreement between two or more nations (Settlers and Native Americans) The United States government wrote these treaties with the Native Americans promising them land for themselves. These promises were not kept and this led to Native Americans forced into reservation camps.

What is a reservation? Who lived in the reservations ? Where were they located? When were they formed? Why were they necessary according to the American Government ? Teacher’s Note: You may change these questions to fit your lesson?
