The holding of a juvenile prior to a probable cause hearing; usually at one of the state’s Regional Youth Detention Centers.
Often held for first time offenders; juvenile and parents or guardian must agree to it; juvenile must admit wrongdoing; the juvenile is under the court’s supervision for at least 90 days.
Consists of two parts: (1) adjudicatory hearing and (2) dispositional hearing
