Be very specific, like the type of home/apartment, car, etc. The 2 nd chart, estimate how much your parents/family pay for each item.

AgendaApril 28, 2010 Take your materials out. Quick-write, as you complete this task I want to stamp yesterday’s notebook homework. What did you learn from asking your parents about the family budget? Are there any “wants” that you would give up if you had to? Guidebook and Notebook assignments.

Objectives Students Shall; Re-evaluate their thoughts about financial responsibility after they spoke with their parents. Examine the advantages and disadvantages of using credit cards.

Quick-write Take out a sheet of binder paper. You will write 3 original quotes about being responsible with money. Think about… ◦ Wants and Needs ◦ Savings ◦ Your future ◦ What is important to you. You will need this same paper for another assignment.

What did you learn from yesterday? Use the same paper from your quick-write. After you spoke to your parents last night and made your own budget you need to answer these two questions; 1. What did you learn about the hard work and sacrifices your parents make for you? 2. Are there any “wants” that you would give up if you need to? 3.If you did not do this, you have to write a one page explanation why you could not budget your time to finish this. Perhaps your parents’ should be informed.

Guidebook and Workbook Guidebook pages 77 and 78 let’s examine these together. Workbook pages 97 and 98 will be your responsibility to complete.
