Valentine's day is a very popular holiday celebrated on February 14 by many people throughout the world. The whole festival- distribute and receive the message of love and affection.

There is a mutual exchange of cards and love notes, along with the social meetings and gatherings. Different regions have their own customs and traditions, observing the festival. However, the basic concept remains the same and that the mixture in the Saga of true and endless love.

History & Origin of Valentine’s Day One of the most popular stories that Valentine was one of the first Christians, in those days, when danger and death go hand in hand. He was arrested for using some Christians who tried to escape from the prison where they were tortured like animals. Valentine was launched before the Emperor of Rome and was ordered to jail.

There he quenched the prison Keeper's daughter of blindness. When the ruthless Emperor learned about this phenomenon, he gave orders the beheading of St. Valentine. They say that he sent the Keeper's daughter a farewell letter, signed "from your Valentine", on the morning of the execution.

Valentine's cards can also be used for less than romantic purposes. Police in the UK city of Liverpool sent Valentine's cards to criminals who failed to appear in court or have not paid fines. The cards contained the verse, "Roses are red, violets are blue, you've got a warrant, and we'd love to see you." Who says romance is dead?

It's that time of the year when couples show their love for each other by sending cards, flowers and chocolates.
