3 | ECS (ETH/GPRS) - COMMISSIONING SAM Training Setting up of the unit: Power unit on Connect using the “ECS2” ECT Set-up the communication ports for the devices you are connecting to it Set-up the Sever IP address and APN – Customer Dependent Click on “update unit” after making a change to save the configuration to the unit. Check that LED1 is on to indicate that it is logged onto GPRS and the APN - Customer Dependent. Call to commission site with representative. Port Settings SAM2 & Access Control RS484 = Physical port 1 – Virtual Port 301, Baud rate 9600 L&G and/or Deep Sea RS485 = Physical port 2 – Virtual Port 309, Baud rate SAM1.5 = Physical port 3 – Virtual Port 310, Baud rate Enable Flow Control Rectifier = Physical port 4 – Virtual port 302, Baud rate depends on type of Rectifier. Generator = Physical port 5 – Vittual port 304, Baud rate depends on type of Generator. *Note – Check following slide for detail information of above procedure LED Indications LED 1 on = GSM Network found and Logged onto GPRS ECS (Eth/GPRS) Communication Cable: A “USB Printer cable” must be used between the ECS(Eth/GPRS) and the computer. Once Connected open the “ECS2 ECT” software. Click on USB and Login

5 | SOFTWARE FOR ECS (ETH/GPRS) (EQUIPMENT COMMUNICATION CONTROLLER) – USING SIM SAM Training Communication Controller Software (ECS2 ECT): ECT Version is viewed on the top left corner as indicated with the yellow circle EG: “ECS2 ECT V 1.4” Firmware Version is viewed on the bottom as indicated with the Red circle EG: “Build: 1.4” IP address is automatically allocated to sim card and is displayed. Enable: 1.GPRS Modem 2.Input APN name - Customer Dependent 3.Input Server IP and UDP port - Customer Dependent 4.Set Port configuration 5.Click on Update unit 6.Wait for unit to complete updating
