 There is a Publix, Subway, McDonald’s, and Zaxby’s down the street from the school.  GHS will provide a hospitality room for directors, judges, and parents to enjoy throughout the day.

 The Theater seats 450 with a slight rake.  The light & sound booth is located in the rear of the theater.  The stage is raised about two feet above the front row.

 The stage has a rounded thrust with a green main drape that closes from the sides.  Acting space on the circular thrust stage is 13 feet center and 6 feet at the sides

 The acting area behind the curtain is 34 feet from stage right to stage left.  20 feet from rear CYC to main curtain.  31 feet total from rear CYC to front edge of the circular thrust. (Center )  There is no mid-stage curtain.

 The rear of stage has a black curtain that closes from the side.  Behind the rear curtain is a CYC curtain. Both the CYC and rear black are available to use in competition.  The CYC can be lit with RGB colors.

 There are three Roto drapery’s located in the stage rt. and lt. wings. They can be move up and down stage on a track.  They also pivot in a circular motion.

 The stage right wing is 20 feet deep and 19 feet from back wall to front curtain.

 The stage left wing is 10 feet deep and 19 feet from back wall to front curtain.

 Our stage will accommodate a set up to 12 feet tall.  Anything above that will risk hitting objects on the batons and lighting bars.

 There is a narrow 2 foot wide walkway behind the CYC for crossing from stage right to stage left.

 To keep the shows moving smoothly. We should have:  One set on stage in performance.  One set in the hall ready to go on  One set being unloaded outdoors and ready to move into the hall at show change.

 All sets will load in on stage left.  After your performance, your set will load outside via the stage right theater doors.  This means that your truck will need to come around to the other side of the theater for set pick-up.

 Our theater doors are standard double doors.  The maximum height is 6 feet 8 inches.  The maximum width is 5 feet 8 inches.  Any set piece outside this range WILL NOT fit though the door.

 Sound effects may be played through our five disc cd changer or through a laptop computer. You may wish to bring your own laptop with your sounds and music already set. Don’t forget any special adapters you may use to plug into your system.  We will help where we can.  Check with Eddie on rules concerning sound. We have a 32 channel mixer you can plug into. However, it is always advisable to bring your own sound system if you expect to travel to state.

 Stage lighting will be set up into 9 easy to find zones.  Each zone will have its own set of lights.  Each zone will have a solo spot set within it  There will be a general wash preset.  The rear CYC will be available for color RGB color mixing. 

 I know that I am always nervous about having enough time for make-up and warm-ups.  To help with this I am going to secure a class room for each school. Where they can warm up and prepare.  There will not be mirrors in the classrooms so please bring your own for make-up.
