Detailed Midterm Verification Instructions These instructions assume that you have activated your WebAdvisor account and have the ability to log in to WebAdvisor.

Step 1. Click on Grading

Step 2. Choose the appropriate term

Step 3 - Choose “Midterm/Intermediate” on the drop down menu

Step 4 - Click the radio button on the course you want to “grade”

Note: The information listed in the next two screen shots was created for demo purposes only. The information is not from an official midterm roster.

Step 5 - For each student on your roster, choose either “PA-Participating” or “NP-Not Participating” from the drop down menu. You may also enter PA or NP directly into the status box. Select “Not participating” on those students you normally circle on your paper roster. These are the students who are not successfully participating in your class.

Step 6 - At the bottom of the screen, click on submit. You can leave some students blank and go back in later and finish them. However, you must do this during the time frame when the midterm grading portal is open. If you fail to verify attendance/participation during the time the portal is open(fail to select from the drop down menu) on even one student in a particular class, you will not be able to submit online final grades for that class until the midterm process for that class is 100% done.

Step 7 - After clicking submit, this is what you should see. PA is Participating and NP is Not Participating. If you find that you made a mistake, and need to change something, send an to or contact Nina Koch at
