Automation in transport networks through simulation Student of “System Analysis and Logistics” department: Anastasiia Lukmanova Student of “System Analysis and Logistics” department: Anastasiia Lukmanova

Subject Area Intelligent transport system (ITS): Section regulated signaling traffic controller Automated traffic control system The aim of my research is to automation in the mega polis at the micro level intersections. The example is the street road network near the metro station ‘Admiral Ushakov’, Moscow.

Mathematical methods for transport simulation processes Hydrodynamic models: Models Greenshields and Greenberg Model of the Lighthill-Whitham Stochastic model Model “Follow the leader” Model of cellular automaton The basic diagram of traffic flow

Objects of research are: Crossroads Highway Ring roads, etc. Due to simulation the following questions can be solved: Overload of the road network Traffic jams Pedestrians’ movements Quantity of road accidents

«PTV Vissim». Key features: Assessing the impact of the type of intersection bandwidth. Design, testing and automation modes of traffic lights. Assessment the impact of the nature of the traffic flow. Evaluation of the effectiveness of proposed transport measures. Analysis of the impact of traffic management on the situation in the transport network. Analysis of the capacity of large transportation networks with dynamic redistribution of traffic flows.

Moscow, metrostation “Admiral Ushakov”

Contents of traffic : Incoming flows in the direction of movement from blocks of united streets

According to the simulation results, the following items should be modified to automate processes at the site: 1. Widening of the carriageway for arranging parking 40 parking spaces 2. Elimination and arrangement of several pedestrian crossings 1(el.)/2(ar.) 3. Installation of signs banning parking4 signs 4. Construction of reversal bus parking1 bus parking 5. Edit phase of traffic lights 11 lights (for one crossing of roads) 6. Installation of traffic lights with the possibility of phase shift 3 lights
