Military Career Paths

Military History The United States various military braches have been around for a long time, the longest being the Army National Guard, and since their beginnings they have offered steady paychecks and an abundance of job opportunities. These braches have been in various war-efforts through out their time, for example: Civil War, WW I-II, and current ventures. Serving and protecting the people of the united states from 1636-present times, the military has provided, and created, many people with career paths and advancements. First branch created in 1636 (NG) Protecting and serving.. Job creation.. Only 1% of the population serves..

Benefits of Serving You can serve and gain : steady jobs, paychecks, retirement plans, post-secondary schooling, healthcare and insurance. Or, perhaps, you just want to serve to protect the country you live in, so that you may have a piece of mind. Benefits of serving in a military branch can be material or psychological. Job security and advancement.. Steady paycheck.. Healthcare.. Retirement plan and 401k.. Travel.. College benefits.. M.O.S training.. Discounts and Perks..

M.O.S: A117-68M M.O.S, in laymen's terms, is basically a job. When you sign your name and swear to protect and serve you are assigned an M.O.S which look like this: A117-68M. These numbers and letters represent a specific job and service branch; this example is of the 68 -series which is the healthcare branch, and the letter M is Soldier Psychoanalysis and Therapist. 68-series is the medical branch.. 68M is a military psychologist.. This specific ‘job’ coincides with my major, Psychology.. Free training that will count as a core courses..

My Experience Community service.. Job shadowing.. Military.. Courses.. Job field.. Experience with psychology.. Projects..
