KIMO Netherlands and Belgium CleanSea:  CleanSea is a European FP 7 Project  Universities and stakeholders work together  A total of 17 partners in the north-, middle- and south of Europe. 7

KIMO Netherlands and Belgium CleanSea: In the CleanSea project receive ships special Big- Bags ~The Big-Bags have unique numbers ~Per week use as many as necessary ~In the Big-Bag only waste from the nets ~The Big-Bags are 1 x 1 x 1 meter. 8

KIMO Netherlands and Belgium Fishing for Litter/CleanSea: What do we do more? ~Exhibition about the pollution of the seas. ~Educational project ~for Children: “The Classroom” ~Presentations. 10

KIMO Netherlands and Belgium Exhibition F4L/CleanSea In the F4L project we opened a traveling exhibition with documentaries, a children’s film, big-bag with waste, sandwich boards, reading material for adults and children, memory game for children, banners etc. The opening of the exhibition was in April

KIMO Netherlands and Belgium Educational project for children called “The Classroom” Part of the program is:  Discussion with a politician e.g. an alderman  Children’s college from a university professor  Neptune’s story  Children’s workshop  Children are appointed to ambassador of the North Sea 12

KIMO Netherlands and Belgium Waste Sluicing ~Waste sluicing is a measuring point for plastic from rivers to the North Sea. ~We work together with the Maritime College IJmuiden for learning and education. 13

DE ZEE – ONZE TOEKOMST Green Deal Fisheries ~Closing the waste circle in the fisheries ~Focussing on domestic-, ship bound- and FFL waste ~Working together with harbours, waste disposal companies and the fisheries. 14

DE ZEE – ONZE TOEKOMST Green Deal Clean Beaches  With local councils and organizations are plans established to continue the cleaning of the beaches and to expand this. 15

KIMO Netherlands and Belgium Domestic Waste Fishing Boats: We have a pilot with two fishing boats. We give small big-bags 70 x 70 x 70 cm. De fishermen collect their domestic waste. In the harbour they put the big-bag on the quay. Start of the pilot 1 st of October 2014 for 3 months. 16

KIMO Netherlands and Belgium Co-operation in the KIMO organization We believe: We can make a project in Europe and contribute to a healthier and sustainable sea with the Green Deal Fishery, Green Deal Clean Beaches and the collection of household refuse of the fishing boats. 17
