Right Here Right Now Watch the video "Right Here Right Now". We will discuss your observations: 1.In the Video, how are the people interacting with each other 2.How do you interact with the people around yourself 3.Your understanding about Trust 30 Minute (Full) 10 Minute Version

Discussion Are the interactions leading to happiness (harmony) or just excitement? What is the motivation for their desire? (Preconditioning, Sensation or Natural Acceptance) What is the source happiness (harmony)?

HarmonyExcitement Mutual fulfillmentExternally Influenced Related to feelingsRelated to expression Continuity is possibleContinuity is not possible

What is the motivation for their desire? Natural Acceptance (Swatantrata, Intention) Preconditioning (Dependence, Not Intention*) Sensation (Dependence, Not Intention*) * Until verified and found to be naturally acceptable

Sources of Happiness 1. Right Understanding – in Self (I)Continuity is possible, Swatantrata 2. Right Feeling Trust, Respect, Affection, Care, Guidance, Reverence, Glory, Gratitude, Love – in Self (I)Continuity is possible, Swatantrata – From OtherDependence on Other, Continuity not possible 3. Sensation Sound, Touch, Form, Taste, Smell – Through BodyDependence on Body, Other, Continuity not possible Tasty-Necessary  Tasty-Unnecessary  Tasteless-Unnecessary  Intolerable

Is Excitement = Happiness? Is Irritation/Anger = Unhappiness? Avesh = Sukh?

You decide how to behave -Depending on whether you like or dislike the behaviour of the other -Depending on your conclusion about his intention from his behaviour Your behaviour is decided by other (“remote control” is with others) Indefinite conduct Reaction (Pratikriya)

Your decide how to behave -Depending on whether you like or dislike the behaviour of the other -Depending on your conclusion about his intention from his behaviour Your behaviour is decided by other (“remote control” is with others) Indefinite conduct Reaction (Pratikriya)Response (Jimmedari) You decide how to behave to assure the other - Based on right understanding and right feeling in yourself - Depending on your conclusion about the state of the other from his behaviour (Right evaluation) You decide your own behaviour Definite conduct

Your decide how to behave -Depending on whether you like or dislike the behaviour of the other -Depending on your conclusion about his intention from his behaviour Your behaviour is decided by other (“remote control” is with others) - You may doubt his intention - You may get hurt by his behaviour - You do not consider it your responsibility to help the other to develop his competence Indefinite conduct Reaction (Pratikriya)Response (Jimmedari) You decide how to behave to assure the other - Based on right understanding and right feeling in yourself - Depending on your conclusion about the state of the other from his behaviour (Right evaluation) You decide your own behaviour -You are clear that the intention of the other is to be happy & to make you happy - If the other is uncomfortable or excited, you already know that he can react - It is your responsibility to help the other to develop his competence Definite conduct

Complaints about the other What the other should do. No responsibility Over evaluation of self – Ego No effort for self development Under/otherwise evaluation of self – Depression No effort for self development Right evaluation of the other What I have to do, my responsibility in relationship and order in family, society... Right evaluation of self Right effort for self development Reaction (Pratikriya)Response (Jimmedari) In your interaction with the other, find out the % time you are responding and % time you are reacting

If we do not have trust on intention, we have a feeling of dominating, opposing the other In case the other is lacking in competence, we react & show irritation or anger; even break up the relationship (Small acts of mistrust stay in the thoughts, multiply, grow; doubt, fear, oppression…; opposition ultimately leads to fighting, struggle and even war) If we have trust on intention, we feel related to the other In case the other is lacking in competence 1.We interact with responsibility with the other, knowing that he/she may react, have uncertain conduct 2.We facilitate understanding in the other once the other is assured in relationship (and not before that) We make a program with the other based on right evaluation of each others competence OppositionTrust

Intention & Competence. Is Desire = Intention? 1. Intention ≡ Natural Acceptance e.g. To be in relationship, Trust in relationship 2. Desire/Thought/Expectation based on Natural Acceptance = Competence based on Intention e.g. To have the desire (feeling) of trust for someone e.g. To have the thought/expectation of developing PF by labour 3. Desire/Thought/Expectation not based on NA, i.e. based on PC/S = Competence not based on Intention e.g. To have the thought/expectation of deriving happiness from sensation from someone e.g. To have the thought/expectation of depriving someone of his suitcase (PF)

Immediate / Short TermFulfilling Behaviour Medium TermJustice in Relationship Order in Society Long TermHuman Tradition Human Education-Sanskar Human Conduct Human Constitution Human Order

Trust = fn ( 1- my understanding about relationship & trust, 2- my awareness about my Natural Acceptance) Program = fn (1- right evaluation of my competence & other’s competence) I have a proactive role to play in the program & development of mutual competence Trust is definite and unchanging For more on right evaluation, see Respect Trust = fn ( 1- the competence of the other, 2- my assumption about myself, about the other) Program = fn (1- my expectation from the other) I have no role to play in the program (I am the consumer). I am good, so I do not have to work on my competence. The other is bad – he can never develop (I condemn him) Trust keeps changing Trust (Right Understanding)Misconceptions about Trust

I evaluate on the basis of body, physical facilities or belief (pre conditioning). I compare with others I am different from the other We are competitors: I make effort to accentuate the difference, to manipulate, exploit the other 1. Our purpose (Natural Acceptance) is similar 2. Our program is similar 3. Our potential is similar The other is similar to me We are complementary to each other: If the other has more understanding - I am committed to understand from the other If I have more understanding 1. I live with responsibility with the other 2. I am committed to facilitate understanding in the other (once the other is assured in relationship, and not before that) DifferentiationRespect – on the basis of Self (I)

Trust & Respect Right Evaluation (with Trust on intention, the acceptance that the other is like me & the understanding that we are complementary to each other) If I have more understanding than the other: 1.I interact with perseverence and responsibly with the other, knowing that he/she may live with reaction, uncertain conduct 2.facilitate understanding in the other once the other is assured in relationship (and not before that) If the other has more understanding than me: 1.I become ready to understand from the other From what has been covered so far, right evaluation can include:  Priority (Right Understanding, Relationship, Physical Facility)  % desires motivated by Preconditioning, Sensation, Natural Acceptance  Clarity, harmony in the Self (vs confusion…)  Trust on Intention (vs doubt, irritation…)  % response (vs reaction…)
