Indicators –  Includes Title and Author  Describes the main characters  Shows background information (who, where, when,why, what)  Significant events are in chronological order  Uses past tense  Writes in paragraphs  Writes a conclusion with an evaluative comment Context – Students completed a book response to a text that was recently read to them by their class teacher.
