Indicators – Includes Title and Author Describes the main characters Shows background information (who, where, when,why, what) Significant events are in chronological order Uses past tense Writes in paragraphs Writes a conclusion with an evaluative comment Context – Students completed a book response to a text that was recently read to them by their class teacher.
